DEVLOG #11: end of year update


Hi! It’s been a minute.

I’m ngl, I first stopped updating just because the first of every month kept sneaking up on me, and then I was like. well. I don’t really have much to say? I drew more. I put more things in the game. I tried putting voice bleeps in, but I couldn’t get it to work with the auto sprite highlights and I like the autohighlights more. So, nothing that glamorous! I promise I’m still working on the game, but it really is just the boring work (or the spoilery work) at this point.

So, game update: art is like, 90% done - I have to add some more expressions to some sprites, but I’m doing that as I implement them, so chances are I won’t call the art 100% done until I launch the game. Most of the endings are blocked, so at this point it’s a lot of acts 2 and 3 - I’m about halfway through act 2, but I haven’t really done anything in chronological order so it’s hard to assign a percentage. Past few months have been getting the ending art done - I decided to be insane and approach the endings differently from the rest of the game, which was a little more drawing work but I like how it turned out and it was a nice break from 100% sprites.

I think we’re on track for a 2024 release - hopefully in the first half of the year, but I’d love to not jinx it. Thanks for sticking with me for this long, and I hope you have a fantastic new year!
